Nyla the Husky and her Momma Naz came in for a family portrait session at Haus Of Rufus in Vancouver.
Naz loves her husky with all her heart.
Nyla is a very independent and strong minded – so providing commands and telling her what to do was not in this queen’s plan for the session! Haha!

So I took a different approach and just asked Naz to sit with Nyla and see if she’d like to lay down and cuddle instead. After a few attempts to stay with Naz, she finally settled and you could tell, this is exactly what she preferred.. some quiet snuggle time with Mom.

5 facts about Huskies!

Origins: Huskies trace their roots back to the Chukchi people of Siberia, where they were bred as sled dogs. They’re known for their impressive endurance and ability to handle extremely cold conditions.

Distinctive Eyes: Huskies are famous for their striking blue eyes, though you might also see them with brown eyes or even one of each—a trait called heterochromia.

Vocal Dogs: When it comes to making noise, Huskies are unique. They don’t bark much but are known for their expressive howls, yips, and other sounds.

High Energy: Huskies are full of energy and need plenty of exercise. Bred for long-distance running, they do best in homes where they can stay active.

Double Coat: With their thick double coat, Huskies are built for cold weather. The dense undercoat keeps them warm, while the topcoat is water-resistant, perfect for snowy climates.
