Vancouver Pet-Friendly Photography Studio

WELCOME TO HAUS OF RUFUS

Haus of Rufus is a pet-friendly photography studio by Vancouver photographer, John Bello and was born out of the love for his Goldendoodle, Rufus. We invite you to Haus of Rufus, a space where we help you capture meaningful, authentic and vibrant portraits of you and your loved ones.

And if you are lucky enough to be the guardian of a pet, we’d love to capture your bond, at any stage of their precious and significant life.

Your pet is your best friend for part of your life, but you are their best friend for all of theirs.

Authentic and Vibrant Portraits

Vibrant-coloured backdrops are the most popular choice at Haus of Rufus. In a world that needs more colour, this element brings a pop of fun and energy to your photos. Studio lighting is used to light these setups and is available all day. 9am – 9pm.

Beautiful Natural Light Studio

At Haus of Rufus you have the option to use the studio as a setting for your session. For portraits with a timeless feel,  minimal aesthetic, and beautiful natural light is the perfect way to keep the focus on you so we can capture your essence. This option is recommended for shoots during when the daylight is still out.

How Do I Secure A Session?

Reach out!

Connect with me at the bottom of the page through the contact form or e-mail me directly at hausofrufus@gmail.com.

Pay the Retainer Fee

A $100.00 + gst retainer is required to secure a time slot on a session date.

The remaining balance is due after the shoot.

Once the retainer is paid, your session time and date is locked in!

I will then send you more session info which will include the location, clothing suggestions, etc..

After the Shoot

I will send you the watermarked gallery from the shoot for you to select from. The amount of images you choose will be based on the type of session you have chosen. For example, if you have a mini session, 5 image edits are included.

After going through the gallery and you find that you would like more than 5 images, please note, that additional images are $25.00 + gst each.

Once you have made your final selections and have notified me, I will send you the final invoice.

The paid invoice and final selections are required before editing begins.

Final Gallery

The final gallery of edits will be ready and the link will be sent to you within 3 weeks of the final balance payment and your images selected.

Each colour image will have a black & white version included.

What if studio dates don't work for me?

If coming to the studio is not an option for you or my select dates do not align with your schedule, I can do an on-location setup and bring the studio to you! My simple setup, which includes a paper backdrop and light, needs at least a 10×10 foot space in your home, amenities room, common area, or any space with plugs that you may have access to. The setup time is 15 minutes and is not included in the shooting time.
